Am I fully insured if something happens on a trip?
Yes, full insurance is always included with M––on every trip, at no extra charge. The included insurance comes with excess reduction. Excess reduction limits the excess fee that you would need to pay in the event of damage to the car, to other property or personal injury.

How much is the excess fee?
Excess reduction lowers the excess fee from 12,000 to 7,000 SEK in the event of damage to the car. For damage to other property or personal injury, the maximum fee is limited to 4,000 SEK.
How can I eliminate the excess fee?
To avoid paying any fees connected to damage or personal injury when driving with M, you can purchase our excess elimination option. Excess elimination is also full insurance.
How much does excess elimination cost?
The cost of excess elimination is based on your trip length. You will see a cost estimate when you make your reservation in the app and the final amount on your trip receipt.
Where can I select my insurance option?
You can select your insurance option when you make your reservation in the app. If you change your mind, just head to your reservation and edit the insurance option. You can change your insurance options right up until you unlock the car. If you remove excess elimination, you will still be fully insured.
What happens if I spot a damage before I start my trip?
You are never responsible for any damage that you report before your trip and that a previous driver may have caused. However, you must always check the car for damages before you start driving, regardless of what insurance option you have.

What if something happens during my trip?
If something happens during your trip, you should report it straight away. In the event that an insurance report needs to be made, we will contact you and ask you to fill in a form provided by our insurance partner, Trygg-Hansa.
Let’s look at some scenarios:
Imagine the car becomes damaged during your reservation, e.g. a crack on the windshield which would cost a minimum of 7500 SEK to repair.
If you have included insurance with excess reduction: You’ll need to pay 7000 SEK excess and the insurance will cover the remaining 500 SEK
If you have purchased excess elimination: You’ll pay 0 SEK and the insurance will cover the complete cost.
Do I need to report damages when I purchase excess elimination insurance?
Yes, otherwise we cannot proceed to repair the car.
